After the University of Oklahoma reported an active shooter on campus, an effective shelter-in-place was implemented
"A shooting incident has occurred on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, as stated by the school in a tweet on Friday night. "There is an active shooter in the Van Fleet Oval. Take immediate action. Run. Hide. Fight!" the University of Oklahoma said in a tweet just before 9:30 p.m. CT.
Another tweet by the University, by 9:45 p.m. CT, indicated that campus police were investigating the possibility of gunfire on campus. "Stay clear of the South Oval area. Seek a safe location," the university said in the tweet.
This is a developing story and will be updated."
